Mustaches for Kids
I can’t believe it’s finally here! After a five week growing season, I’m currently preparing my mustache for tonights San Francisco Stache Bash. A sort of Beauty Pageant for mustaches. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
For those who aren’t in the know, every year me and a bunch of other folks grow some sweet lip carpets out for the children. We always pick a different charity, and this year’s beneficiary is Donors Choose. They’re a great organization and they’ve certainly copied plenty of stuff from Kiva, which no doubt accounts for much of their success. I kid of course, but they’re worth checking out if you like kids.
I’ll be sure to take plenty of amusing and mildly revolting photos. Just so you know, the structure of tonight’s mustache competition will be as follows:
Round 1: Introductions (and ‘Stachkus)
– Sample Stachku:
My mustache Googled
“Champion.” And, no surprise,
I was the first hit.
Round 2: Texture
–Kiss a female volunteer from the crowd (her choice of hand, cheek, or lips)
–Foam Retention Test (with a pint of Guinness…)
Round 3: Mystery Round! (you will find out what this is Wednesday)
